Kabul, 22 April 2012 – Speaking at the screening of the One Day on Earth feature film at the Institut Francais Afghanistan, IFA, UNDP Afghanistan Country Director Mr. Alvaro Rodriguez told Afghanistan’s 3TV Mujtaba Sabbar Channel : “This film shows the wonder of our world and how we are all interdependent and need to take better care of our environment.”
UNDP Afghanistan partnered with the Institut Francais Afghanistan, IFA (French Institute of Afghanistan) on International Mother Earth Day on 22 April 2012 to screen the One Day on Earth feature film that covers global issues filmed by 18,000 film makers worldwide on 10.10.10. IFA Deputy Director, Ms. Guilda Chahverdi, opened the event. The audience was made up of Institute students, officials and UNAMA colleagues who all watched with awe and wonder at the beautiful imagery from all over the world.
